This Manchester skyline LEGO set has been on the drawing board for a while as I tried to figure out what to include. Having studied at Manchester University in the 1990's the city was once very familiar to me, but having visited only a few times since then, less so now.
For such a big city and with so many iconic landmarks its ended up being a reflection of my Manchester. There are nods to Factory Records and the Hacienda to part of the University!
It also includes the National Football Museum, the Arndale Centre, Beetham Tower, the Town Hall and Central library complex, canal and lock and a tram. I'm sure there's plenty more that could be added, but I didn't want it to get too busy.
