The Gateshead Millennium Bridge LEGO set! This iconic bridge - the most recent of the 7 that cross the Tyne between Gateshead and Newcastle - was opened in 2001. Designed by Wilkinson Eyre its unique tilting mechanism allows it to open to let ships through. Its my personal favourite of the bridges of the Tyne and sits upstream from the Tyne Bridge complementing it beautifully.

This LEGO model includes a tilt mechanism that allows the bridge to be displayed in open or closed positions.
